Led Lenser V6

The Led Lenser V6 features 6 Nichia white beam LEDs positioned in the head to for a clover leaf pattern. It uses 3 AAA alkaline batteries, weighs 160 g and is made of stainless steel of approximately 3.625″ x 1″ dimensions. The torch came with batteries and a handy little mesh belt pouch with the logos “Coast” and “Led Lenser” stitched in red, packaged in a neat looking black gift box.
Its minimalistic design makes it look like it had been part of a bar of solid steel, with the seam of the head where it screws on the body nearly unnoticeable. The only thing that sticks out from the torch is the round steel switch situated just below the engraved logo in the head.
The finish of the torch is what manufacturers calls “brushed,” and is not one to attract fingerprints and smudges. Apart from that, the only additional style elements it has are the holes drilled around the head.
The batteries fit inside the body via a supplied plastic casing which situates them beside each other in a triangular patters. Current is fed to the bulbs with 24k gold contacts.
Specs claim that the set of AAA batteries will last up to 50 hours of use and the LEDs, which are standardized anyway, last up to 100,000 hours.
The clover leaf pattern produces a very bright and even throw with its 68.3 mW of power and 65 lumens of brightness.
The Led Lenser V6 retails for $70.00 and is available in some retailers for less than $40.00.
